about

Tisarana, in the Buddhist tradition, means refuge. We offer this music as refuge, altered silence, and immediacy. As improvising musicians, we practice immersion, listening and responding without expectation, in the moment. Thus the music is spontaneously composed, and contemplative in character. Recorded live at Hovering Horse studio, Corvallis, Oregon, April 3, 2018.

about

Woodman / Kellam / Campbell Corvallis, Oregon

Woodman/Kellam/
Campbell is a post-jazz trio. These albums explore, in live recordings, contemplative textures & jazz inflections. Ben Woodman (trumpet) is the lead lyrical voice, in discourse with Matt Kellam (electronics, bass) and John R. Campbell (electronics, guitar, keyboard). And everyone adds percussive colors. We offer this music as refuge, raw immediacy, and deep immersion in the moment. ... more
